Well I am proud to say I really kept with the program last week. Plus, when my son asked me to play soccer with him in the backyard, I actually said yes instead of my typical lazy "Ask Daddy if he wants to play". I of course had in the back of my mind the 100 minutes of cardio I had to get in. But whatever the reason, it was good for me and more importantly good for him.
Today (Monday) I decided try and start with Mike's workout to get my week started in the right direction. I've found that I can't count on any time to exercise on the weekend so I'm going for a Monday-Friday thing.
I am starting to feel good, and the exercises seem a little bit easier this week. I'm hoping that by next Monday, when I move on to my next routine, it won't be so hard on my body. For now the ice pack is my best friend.
Toni -- regarding the muffin binge... My theory has always been "Donuts happen". You're just lucky your binge was only muffins. Mine usually start with Donuts and end with Hershey Bars. So to keep you on the up and up this week I'll be emailing you to see what you've been eating... In return ask me if I've been on that treadmill that is currently masquerading as clothes hangar.
Alison -- If you are reading this just walk, walk, walk in NY and you will be fine. Send me notes on where you went with the kids. I'll be visiting the big apple in December.
Nanette -- 4 pounds lost! Wow. I've lost 3 but I KNOW that was water weight... but hey, beggars can't be choosers. I'll take it. Keep me posted on the body changes you see.
A final note. I went to a new mall in my area this week and they had some amazing new stores -- I've won't buy a thing until I'm back in shape so I now have new motivation.
Wish me luck this week.
