About ELISA

  • I'm the founder and editor of momready.com. I'm also married (12 years), the mother of two kids (aged 6 and 9) and a dog, Girl Scout leader, community fundraiser, school volunteer and neighborhood rabble-rouser... which doesn't leave me much time to get on a healthy eating and excercise routine. I'm very excited to have the encouragement of PUSH.tv, my new friends below who are joining me on this adventure and all of our readers. I need all the help I can get!

About ALISON

  • I founded and run the Los Angeles office of a NY based public relations firm. My loving, supportive but equally busy husband and I are the proud parents of a nearly 3 year old precocious little boy and a 5 year old hard-wired, high strung mix breed dog. While my husband works long hours, I am running the household issues of school drop/off & pickup and finding meals around here for everyone. 2 months ago I started WeightWatchers and have so far lost 2 dress sizes but I still have a long way to go and I can't seem to get active. I have a fading memories of being really athletic (swim team, ski team) but that was years ago with organized team structures and I haven't been regularly involved in any athletics since I left college (10+ years ago). I'm really excited to have a structured support system in my new friends and with this great opportunity.

About NANETTE

  • I have been a Domestic Engineer for the last 7 years. I have a wonderful husband of 16 years and two growing and changing children, ages 13 and 8. I am so excited to start this new program with PUSHtv. and my new friends at Momready. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking/walking and swimming. I feel as though I eat fairly healthy and get some exercise. I have belonged to "Gym's" before and found that my exercise was limited to writing that monthly dues check. I can't wait to work-out in the privacy of my own home and have a personal trainer to talk to. I hope that you will join us. Time for me to quit dreaming about fitting into those favorite jeans in my closet, I'm now ready to do something about it.

About TONI

  • I’m the mom of a (nearly) three-year-old boy and the wine and beer buyer for a locally owned grocery chain. Like most moms, I’m also the one who does the driving, the shopping, the cooking, the cleaning, etc. Balancing these two full-time-plus pursuits leaves me with little time or motivation to take care of myself. I used to be one of those horrid people who could eat whatever they want, but having a baby and a job that has become more desk-oriented has changed that. Not to mention that I work around food all day! I’ve never been able to stick to “exercise for exercise’s sake,” but it’s time – not just because I want to lose a few pounds, but really for my long-term health. I’m looking forward to the encouragement and support from PUSH.tv and my new friends.

My Cardio is not what it should be either

Just read your entry Toni, and I can totally relate to the cardio part of the work-outs.  I am also staying steady at about 3 lbs lost (give or take a few, depending on what time of the month it is).  I don't have the cold weather excuse, because here in Tucson it is sooo beautiful right now, not to hot, not cold.  I'm really good at doing my strength training and am also seeing great results from these work-outs.  I walk plenty so maybe what I need to do is walk faster to get my heart rate up, start playing tennis like I keep saying I am going to do, and get my bike out when my daughter is riding hers. Oh, and Toni, go buy that party dress!!
